DAY 1 – DUBROVNIK – ŠIPAN – LOPUD
The Elafiti islands ere one of the country s most popular destinations located in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Dubrovnik. It begins with the island of Olip at the southeastern cape of the Peljesac Pennninsula and ends with the island of Lokrum in front of Dubrovnik. The archipelago is separated from the mainland by the Kolocep Channel, it consist 12 islands, although the three main ones to visit and stay on are Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan. The Elafiti islands are easy to explore on a day trip from Dubrovnik. All the islands are car-free, the only way to get around is on foot or by bicycle. The highlight of the tour is is the largest of the island – Sipan. Artefacts discovered that this island was already inhabited in the time of the Romans. Between the settlemente of Sipanska Luka and Sudurad lie the ruins of the summer residence of the archbishops of Dubrovnik.
DAY 2 – ŠIPAN – KOBAŠ BAY – POMENA (MLJET)
While sailing the Croatian Adriatic from south to north, Mljet is the first larger island.Many explorers and experts consider Mljet to be the island of Ogygia – the beautiful island where the nymph Calypso held Odysseus for 7 years.
National Park Mljet is one of the 8 national parks in Croatia and one of the largest islands in south Dalmatia. The national park includes the western part of the island, Veliko Jezero, Malo Jezero, Soline Bay and a sea belt. Many people begin their exploration of Mljet in village Polače, a place with long history. Pomena is small village,so the main street is the main shopping “quarter“ and main dining place with restaurants.
DAY 3 – POMENA (MLJET)- KORČULA
The island of Korčula is the sixth – largest Adriatic island, this island is known for it s dense forest and the ancient Greeks called the island Black Korčula (Kerkyra melania) for this reason. Korčula town is the main resorts (people call it “Little Dubrovnik” because of it s medieval squares, churches and palaces), Vela Luka and Lumbarda. It is famous for it s streets that are shaped in the form of a fish bone and among them stands out the magnificent 15-th century Cathedral of Sv.Marko (St.Mark), built from Korčula limestone in a Gothic – Renaissance style by Italian and local artisans. The best of all Croatian wines is produced from the grape pošip, particularly from the areas around the villages of Čara and Smokvica. The Island s best beach is Pupnatska Luka on the south coast and near the town there is an archipelago of 20 uninhabited islands covered with dense thicket and an accessible coastline.
DAY 4 – KORČULA – ZAKLOPATICA (LASTOVO)
Lastovo is the eleventh nature park in Croatia, a genuine heaven for lovers of nature with it 46 small islands, churches, vineyards, rocks and reefs (the largest of them are Lastovo and Sušac). The Lastovo archipelago was declared nature park due to mystic beauty, thick forests, high coastal cliffs, numerous rare sea and land species and habitats. Special tourist attractions of the island are the famous Lastovo chimneys that were once status symbols of old Lastovo families, the island is famous for it s carnival in which all the island residents participate by wearing beautiful folk costumes. Lastovo Village is an old medieval town with a long history, surrounded by mountains and forming a natural shape of amphitheater. Every bay on the island is hidden underneath pine tries which are providing shadow in very hot summer days.
DAY 5 – LASTOVO – KOMIŽA (VIS)
Vis is the farthest island of middle Dalmatia, famous for it s clear sea and protected underwater world with large number of hidden bays, oases of peace which are hard to reach.
The island is also home to one of the best beaches in the world – Stiniva, an idyllic cove with a backdrop of cliffs and views of clear water. International and local travellers seeking authenticity, nature, peace and quiet on the island of Vis.
Komiža is located at the base of Hum hill on the west side of the island of Vis, it faces the sea and is cut off from the rest island on the west side of the island of Vis. Komiža retains the flavour of a Mediterranean fishing village even though it is becoming very popular as a beach resort and launching pad to the Blue Cave on the island Biševo.
DAY 6 – KOMIŽA (VIS) – BIŠEVO – HVAR (PALMIŽANA)
The most famous Hvar tourist resort with a nautical marina is Palmižana, precisely the bay of Vinogradišće on the southern side of the island with a pine tree forest, plants such as rosemary and heather and various exotic plants. There are several restaurants, bars and pensions and it can be accessed by the organized, regular boat connection from the port of Hvar.
The island of Hvar is the queen of Dalmatian islands because is a unique blend of luxurious Mediterranean natural surroundings with a rich cultural and historical heritage and sophisticated tourism. Is the longest and the sunniest Croatian island. Thanks to the mild climate, the warm winters and pleasant summers Hvar receives many guests and travellers, who are attracted by the dense Mediterranean nature, rich architecture and nightlife
DAY 7 – HVAR – SPLIT (TROGIR, KAŠTELA)
The last day of your journey will take you back towards Split. On the way to Split there are few bays worth visiting on the islands of Drvenik and Šolta.
